Vidyodaya, a co-educational English medium school which follows the CBSE syllabus, started functioning in 1990, under the management of Vidyodaya Educational and Charitable Trust. From its very humble beginning in a rented house in Kaloor, with around 20 students and 6 teachers, the school gradually grew into one of the best in Cochin, spread in a sprawling 12 acre campus, housing around 2500 students and 200 staff, thanks to the tireless effort, enthusiasm, and commitment of the visionaries in its management and staff. The eco-friendly campus which nurtures its ambience at every step of development, reminds many of "Shantiniketan". In a student-friendly atmosphere, the school ensures individual attention to each student and provides training  in a variety of sports, games and martial arts, which include kalarippayatt, the typical martial art of kerala. In short the school admits a child and sends out a citizen.

Crossing a milestone every year in the service of education, Vidyodaya has marched past 20 milestones.The climb has been arduous, but steady, the will has been unrelenting.The visionaries(founders) had built this institution, on the attributes of inspiration, motivation, innovation and a great vision and dedicated it to the task of moulding the young minds, focussing on their strength, nurturing and encouraging them and helping them to attain excellence.

Vidyodaya envisions an education with a social and moral vision- it is with this that we seek to empower our children, for we hope to build a youth community dedicated to nation building, global binding and world conservation.
